Symbolica
At the end of the Pardoes Promenade next to the Pagoda the Efteling has built the royal palace Symbolica.
Symbolica has been a part of the Efteling since 2017 The palace is a large darkride, within this palace you will be introduced to the world of Pardoes. There are various elaborately themed areas each of which will have a certain function in the palace. You will then be taken onto the ride in a room with a huge chandelier. There are three different 'tours of the palace' you can take and you can choose which one you wish to follow. This means that to have fully seen all this ride has to offer you will need to go through this ride at least 3 times. But it will be worth it. Please note that although there is facility for disabled visitors, these will only be able to view the Music route. It is also advisable for disabled visitors to reserve a time in advance as there are a limited amount of suitable fantasy floats and as such waiting times can be long. |

Wheelchair users can enter via the wheelchair entrance to the left of the attraction entrance. Please ring the doorbell.
You will need to be able to be transferred from your wheelchair in order to ride. You will only be able to view the Music route. It is also advisable for disabled visitors to reserve a time in advance as there are a limited amount of suitable fantasy floats and as such waiting times can be long.

Main ride
You will first meet the Grand Master wizard Almar and Pardoes in the Observatory
He will send you on though the Panorama salon before passing through the botanical garden where a giant whale lives.
The water pressure in the whale tank threatens to break the glass and a panicky Pardoes urges you to come to where it's safe.
Here you will split up and each enter a different room with a mirror where a disguised O J Punctueel will chastise you for deviating from his plan. Pardoes shows up in the mirror to help you evade him by using magic. He will ask you for your help (use the interactive panel) to boost his magic but can also get by without your help. Then you will view different themed sections of the palace depending on which tour you selected.

You will then pass the champagne storage, on your way through the pantry and past the kitchen you will see Polle (The proprietor of Polle's Kitchen) carrying through large stacks of pancakes.
Then you will finally meet King Pardulfus at the feast.
Pardoes and Pardijn will also be there but you will have spent too long on the tour and won't be in time to join them at the feast.
You will then go among the dancers in the ballroom and find your way out through the hall of pictures to the exit.
