De Sprookjessprokkelaar (The Fairy Tale Gatherer)
Story
|
Sterre is a girl who has been living with her grandfather since the death of her mother.
They live on the outskirts of the village she used to live in with her mother. Grandpa Anders gathers wood for a living and is often seen with a squirrel on his shoulder. Sterre misses her friends in the village and has to make do with only one worn out book. When Grandpa sees how lonely she is, he suggests that she visits the fairy tale library in the abandoned castle Libersteyn. There, through trial and error, she eventually finds amazing rooms full of books and a painting of a mysterious figure, 'The Fairy Tale Gatherer'. The man in the painting is an old man with a stick insect on his shoulder who looks strangely familiar. With a desire to share these new found stories, she heads to the village, takes a seat at the fountain in the centre and starts reading them to the other children. Not everyone is happy about this though... |
