Opening Hours

The Efteling is open all year round 365 days a year.
Their calendar is updated periodically with opening hours. These are usually released in two batches. The first half of the year is usually released in December while the second half of the year is usually released in July. The bulk of the maintenance calender is also updated around these times. In front of the entrance you will find a writing quill scribbling away with the below notice underneath:
"Zolang de pennenveer blijft schrijven Zal de Efteling voor altijd open blijven Hier wordt elk mensenkind verblijd Een herinnering tot in eeuwigheid... " Translation: "As long as the quill keeps writing The Efteling will stay open for ever Here every human child is made happy A memory for eternity." |

The park usually opens at 10:00 or 11:00.
The gates to the park actually open 1 hour before this. (if the official opening hours say 10:00 the opening ceremony is at 09:00) There's an opening ceremony with Pardoes every day at this time. Afterwards you will only have access to the Pardoes Promenade, Fabula Savannebar, De Gebrande Boon and the gift shop 🎁 at the entrance but only people who stay at Efteling accommodation get access to some rides 🎢 half an hour before the park officially opens. The park usually closes at 18:00 in the low season but stays open later in the holidays and high season. |
